The Golf Course is closed for the 2014 season. Thanks to everyone who made this year terrific! We look forward to seeing you again next spring.

Read more about the evolution of the Golf Course and our 50th anniversary in this great article featured in the April 2014 issue of Colorado Avid Golfer:
A Place Beyond the Pines: Grand Lake Turns 50

ONE OF COLORADO'S ORIGINAL AND PREMIER MOUNTAIN COURSES!
This is classic and quintessential Rocky Mountain golf at its best. Grand Lake’s beautifully maintained course designed by Dick Phelps with rolling fairways and subtle greens surrounded by lodge pole pines, aspens and colorful native flora, offers a world class setting with panoramic views of snowcapped mountains and Rocky Mountain National Park. Moose, elk, deer, fox, chipmunks and squirrels are often spectators during a round and add to a memorable, unique mountain golf experience.

For sharpening up your skills, a driving range and putting green are available. Lessons are available from our professional staff. Facilities include a well stocked pro shop, complete with clubs, balls and a large selection of clothing and accessories.

Voted Grand County's Best Golf Course by Readers of the Ski-Hi Daily News!

In 2011 we had four new greens come online. As a result, we had a change in our golf course rating and slope from the Colorado Golf Association(CGA) and the Colorado Women's Golf Association(CWGA).

The new course ratings are as follows:

  • Blue Men 70.4/130
  • White Men 69.1/126
  • Red Women 70.4/131

SPECIAL EVENTS AT THE GOLF COURSE

Planning a special event this summer? Have an idea for a golf tournament for your business or organization? At the Grand Lake Golf Course we welcome private group outings, individual tournaments and assistance with special events at the course. To find out more about how to arrange an outing or tournament, please contact Ted Roberts, Director of Golf at tedr@grandlakerecreation.com. Dates in July and August are the most popular, so be sure to get in touch to book your event soon.

NEW ADVERTISING OPPORTUNITY!

This season we will be offering the opportunity for our patrons to purchase advertising signs on the golf course. Each tee box will have a sign that can be used to promote a business, honor a loved one, or celebrate an occasion. The signs will be approximately 12 inches by 18 inches and will be visible every time a golfer looks at the yardage for the green on the tee sign. Each sign will cost $300 the first year and $100 each year after that. To reserve your tee box sign for 2014, please contact Ted Roberts at tedr@grandlakerecreation.com or call the pro shop today!

COMMENTS FROM
OUR GOLFERS:
We recently played the Grand Lake Golf Course and wanted to let you know what a great improvement the four new greens have been to the course. The improved playability of these greens over the old ones is like night and day. Keep up the good work on improvements to what is already a great golf course. - Joe B.

We had not played the Grand Lake Golf Course for a few years and were pleasantly surprised by the condition of the course. The new irrigation and increased sunshine have done their job. The conditions of the course made playing it nothing but enjoyable. - Herb F.

We returned to the Grand Lake Golf Course after a few years of being gone. The beautiful mountain vistas are a compliment to the golfing experience of the course. It is also always a thrill to see the abundant wildlife that also occasionally cross the fairways will one is on the course. This is what mountain golf should be like. - William A.

When we played the Grand Lake Golf Course this summer we could not help but be impressed with the newly remodeled clubhouse and the ambiance that has been created. The friendly staff only complimented the overall experience of a great golfing day. - Gene H.
