First, a big standing ovation goes out to all of the golfers who came out to the course this season. It was a terrific one in many ways, and we thank you for your support. We were also so pleased to see how many hikers and bikers have found our free trail system and agree with us that it is a hidden gem in Grand County - especially with all the improvements and expansions we were able to complete over the summer.
Now the temps have dropped and the snow has fallen, and we are thrilled to report that the Nordic Center is ready to open for the season! Join us November 19 for the big day . . . all the details follow below in the Nordic section of the newsletter.
We also want to wish you and your families a very happy Thanksgiving . May you have many things to be thankful for this holiday seas
Enjoy the newsletter, and we look forward to seeing you soon!

GENERAL RECREATION NEWS
COME PLAY PICKLEBALL
Drop-in winter Pickleball for adults is happening Tuesday and Thursday at 3:00pm, and Saturdays at 11:00am at the Grand Lake elementary school. The fee for winter play is $1.00.
Pickleball is a fun game that is played on a court similar to a badminton court with the net lowered to 34 inches at the center. It is played with a perforated plastic baseball (similar to a whiffle ball) and wood or composite paddles. It is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players.
Be sure to visit the General Recreation section of the website for more details and updates.
